About the Position

As a Data Developer, you build the infrastructure of the entire e-commerce and distribution business: product data. In the past 5 years, our ever-expanding catalog has grown from 10,000 to over 300,000 SKUs. Your work serves to directly improve the processes that drive everything from accurate product representation on our sites to sales across every channel. Consequently, you’ll collaborate with a very skilled team of developers as well as our Merchandising and other departments to see the business applications of your efforts.

You Will

  • Leverage C# and/or T-SQL to drive the on-boarding, implementation, and maintenance of brand data
  • Manage systems that are constantly moving large sets of data, internally and externally while having to consider complex business logic
  • Balancing between code and user-based management systems to complete given projects
  • Think critically to improve current processes in overall efficiency
  • Execute effectively within an Agile-inspired development process
  • Maintain productivity and focus in an open work environment (no cubicles)
  • Collaborate with experienced developers and project managers to create solutions
  • Accurately assess and deliver on project deadlines
  • Apply development concepts to a specialized business market
  • Process, understand, and add to existing code and infrastructure
  • Write testable code as well as writing the unit tests

You Have

  • At least 5 years of work experience with internal business applications and database development
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience working within a .NET framework (Mandatory)
  • Detailed knowledge of software engineering fundamentals (algorithms, memory management, object oriented programming, functional programming, concurrent programming, database/SQL fundamentals etc.)
  • It would be awesome if you also have:
    • Experience with SSIS for procedural automation (Nice to have)
    • Experience developing with Python (Nice to have)
